Glenwood HealthCare and Rehab is especially proud of its rehabilitation efforts. Heart warming and uplifting experiences happen here regularly! We had one resident who had spent five years bed-ridden at another facility. Not too long after arriving here, this gentleman could be seen in our therapy gym, standing upright, taking steps! At Glenwood HeathCare and Rehab, walking became a realistic goal for him.

Another resident who was developmentally disabled came to us in need of a high level of personal care. After therapy with a caring staff member, the resident gained an increased range of motion in her arms. She could sit and maintain her balance. Soon she was able to participate in her own grooming. Her appearance and, as a result, her self-esteem, improved! Today this lady participates in work programming and lives in the community in an apartment.

We always check on our residents even after they have left our facility. Our therapists make home and hospital visits regularly. They assess our residents before admission and after their stay with us.
